NSS Logo

The Logo of NSS is based on the giant 'Rath Wheel' of the Konark Sun Temple situated in Orissa. The wheel portrays the cycle of creation, reservation and release and signifies the movement in life across time and space. The Logo thus, stands for dynamism and progressive outlook of youth. The eight bars in the wheel represents the 24 hours of a day, hence, it reflects the wearer to be in readiness for service round the clock. The red color indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood i.e.lively,active, energetic and full of high spirit. The navy blue color indicates the cosmos of which the NSS is a tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.
